Sparks/Reno, Nev. – Own a piece of Nugget history when John Ascuaga’s Nugget auctions a variety of property and family antique items July 5-6 in the Rose Ballroom.

The Nugget recently moved to a new warehouse. During the move, many old items that had been collecting over the years were revealed, thus creating the auction opportunity. In addition, some items from Mr. Ascuaga’s ranch will be available. In all, more than 1000 antique items, unique items of special interest, memorabilia of the Nugget, the city of Sparks and state of Nevada will be sold in two special sessions on July 5 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and July 6 from 10 a.m. until completion. A 10-percent buyer’s premium will apply.

The sale will be conducted by locally-owned Baxtin’s Incorporated. Photos of some of the items can be seen at baxtinsauctions.com or janugget.com. Special room blocks have been created for buyers who wish to stay in the Nugget hotel.
